The Story

From Engineering
to Exits

Saim Abbasi studied Mechanical Engineering at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario - one of Canada's most rigorous engineering programs. The discipline instilled a systems-level thinking that would define every company he built afterward.

After graduating, he joined Scotiabank Capital Markets as an xVA Sales & Trading Analyst - one of the most technically complex derivative roles in global finance. At 22, he left to co-found SA Capital, a financial education platform built during the pandemic, with three partners.

What followed was not planned as a triple exit. It was the result of applying engineering-style analysis to every decision: what are the constraints, what are the failure modes, what does the upside look like if the design works?

SA Capital was acquired in December 2022. Saim joined OptionsSwing as Head of Strategy, Operations & Partnerships and Board Director. In November 2023, OptionsSwing was acquired by Asset Entities (NASDAQ: ASST). That company was subsequently acquired by Strive Asset Management - completing a compounding chain that took under two years from start to finish.

In 2022, Saim joined Iron Key Capital as Venture Partner, becoming Managing Partner & CEO in October 2025. He founded SA Media in January 2024, which has since generated 250M+ content views and served 1,000+ clients.
